It can be done, but please note: An overhead shower is usually a concealed installation solution, no matter whether it is installed on the ceiling or the wall. As there are pipelines in the wall, this means extensive building work is required. Your local specialist partner will be happy to offer more advice here. It is faster and easier to upgrade what you currently have with a shower system that includes an overhead shower and thermostat, also known as a shower pipe. This can be fitted on existing wall connections. Want something even simpler? Go for the Reno version, which allows you to keep your faucet and swiftly retrofit the new overhead shower. The shower panel is another option that does not require a complex installation, as the overhead shower is pre-assembled.
The optimum installation height for the overhead or rain shower depends on individual body size. There should be a clearance of at least 20–30 cm between the spray disc and the person’s head. For full showering enjoyment, the water pressure and shower head should be a good match. In most cases, the standard pressure in your bathroom will be sufficient for the rain shower to have a nice, powerful spray pattern.
