Product information

Can the connection hoses on lavatory faucets be replaced?

You can normally replace the hoses on hansgrohe faucets, including lavatory faucets, bidet faucets, and kitchen faucets. Please refer to the installation manual enclosed with the spare part for information on how to remove it from the faucet. Or look in our online Spare Parts Shop.

Can hansgrohe lavatory faucets be operated with a continuous flow heater?

As a basic rule, most of our products are suitable for continuous flow heaters. Just be sure to have your plumber check the continuous flow heater’s performance and align it with the product.

Is there a shaft extension for lavatory faucets?

On lavatory faucets with a 32 mm diameter threaded shaft, you can extend the shaft by 35 mm using a shaft extension (article number: 13898000). These faucets can therefore be mounted in plate thicknesses up to 70 mm.
For lavatory faucets with a stud fixture, extend the fastening with a standard M8 threaded rod.

Tips & tricks

Very little water is coming out of my faucet. What can I do?

Low flow performance may be caused by a dirty aerator. The cleaning process is shown in greater detail here:

What should I do if the faucet is dripping?

If the faucet is dripping slowly, dirt may have drifted into the aerator. We therefore recommend you start by removing the aerator and cleaning it, if necessary. The video below shows how to clean it in more detail.
If this is not the case, the cartridge and/or shut-off unit are probably faulty and should be replaced.

The fixation set on the faucet is leaking. Why might this be?

The connection hose might have come undone during installation, which may have damaged the O-ring. (When connecting to the angle valve, it is important to hold the hose in place using an open-end wrench and follow the instructions in the installation manual. Otherwise, the hose may come undone from the faucet body.) Before tightening the spout nut, screw the hose back into the faucet body and follow the necessary steps in the installation manual. Or look in our online Spare Parts Shop. The O-ring may also need to be replaced.

Open water heaters: Water starts dripping from the faucet during the heating process. What can I do?

Water drips from the spout so that no excess pressure builds up in the open water heater during the heating process. This is physically required and does not indicate a product defect that would justify replacement of the faucet or a warranty or guarantee claim.

Can I change the angle of the water spray on a hansgrohe faucet?

hansgrohe offers an optional swiveling aerator (article no.: 95400000) with an M24x1 external thread. This can be used to adjust the water spray in all directions by approximately 8°. Replacement and operation are shown in the following video:

How do I reduce the loudness of the water flow or knocking sounds in my bathroom faucet?

Loose parts or high water pressure are possible causes of the noisy water flow or knocking sounds in your bathroom faucet. Contact a local specialist so that they can pinpoint and fix the noises.

How can I limit the hot water temperature hansgrohe faucets?

The maximum hot water temperature can be restricted on most hansgrohe faucets with a ceramic cartridge and all hansgrohe thermostats. For more detailed information, please refer to the installation manual. Or look in our online Spare Parts Shop.

How do I avoid splashing from the faucet and in the wash basin?

Our experts from the Technical Service Center have tested many of the possible faucet and ceramics combinations for their functionality and made the results available to you. hansgrohe ExcellentFit gives you the necessary confidence during the planning stage that there will be little to no splashing when washing hands.

Electronic faucets

Once operational, no water comes out the electronic wall-mounted faucet. Why is this?

Please only use the original supply pipes. They cannot be shortened nor extended because this may cause malfunctions.

Please check whether the function block was turned by 180° when mounted or whether the non-return valves have been inserted the wrong way round.
