Review of the ISH 2019 trade fair

Bathroom trends – more colour, lots of variation, smart

This year's ISH 2019 featured more options for creating personalised bathrooms and showers, often "smart”-controlled. Trendy colours and metallic tones are also making their mark in the modern bathroom. New ways to enjoy water and trendy interior design are becoming more prevalent in bathrooms. The trade fair provided confirmation that hansgrohe's innovate products are completely in line with the latest trends.

The modern bathroom is becoming more colourful, as was confirmed by lots of the solutions showcased at ISH 2019: ranging from furniture and ceramics through to bath tubs and taps in metallic shades. Greater usability and safety when using water are aspects that are playing an increasingly important role. Whether you want to create your own personalised feel-good temperature or to implement your personal preferences in the shower or at the wash basin, this year's leading trade fair offered numerous solutions.

The holistic bathroom goes digital

Smart home, the digital and wireless networking of building technology, is making strides in the bathroom too. App technology is increasingly being used. For example, the light on the mirror, which is linked to the room lighting and can be personalised, through to a variety of shower scenarios. Here, water, light and media are intelligently networked, creating multi-sensory showers.

The bathroom caters to the needs of the user

At the ISH, the bathrooms designed for everyone played a leading role: these included wash basins with ideal standards of design for the care sector, bath tubs featuring innovative ergonomic design and, last but not least, taps that meet the safety requirements of the entire family.

A focus on the customer: Bathroom innovations from the hansgrohe brand

Visitors at the hansgrohe trade fair stand.
The new Rainfinity shower range fascinated visitors to the hansgrohe trade fair stand. The jet types, in particular, could be experienced up close and these generated enthusiasm.
Architects and interior designers, bathroom planners and dealers were able to feast their eyes on a wide range of innovative and groundbreaking new products from hansgrohe at the Festhalle: the Rainfinity designer shower represents a completely new kind of shower experience. This is due to the micro-fine PowderRain jet, which exits at different intensities from an arched spray disc with a new outlet design, and the adjustable angle of the overhead shower which, thanks to its innovative wall connection, eliminates the need for a shower arm. Its unusual design and modern colours – matt white for the shower, anthracite for the spray disc – make Rainfinity a visual highlight in the bathroom. Just as innovative: the shoulder shower, which offers the option of leaving out the face and hair when showering. Rainfinity for ceiling mounting, a shower system and two new hand showers complete the range. The products will be available from July 2019.
Smart home innovations for the bathroom.
The hansgrohe trade fair stand offered an atmospheric preview of what was to come: the digital innovation RainTunes.
A holistic shower experience is offered by Rainfinity, in its digital networking with the other innovative hansgrohe product RainTunes. Visitors to the trade fair stand were enthralled by the interplay between water, video, light, sound and aroma. Depending on mood and time of day, the customer selects his own personalised showering program in the hansgrohe home App. The shower is controlled via the mobile RainButton or the central, digital RainPad control panel. The products will be available on the German market from January 2020.
New taps in black, white or gold.
At hansgrohe, five FinishPlus surface finishes are available, and these can be used to add completely personal touches.
The keyword is colour: in this regard, hansgrohe is truly impressive thanks to its trendy selection of metallic shades and matt colours. With FinishPlus surface finishes, the bathroom customer’s personal taste can be consistently catered to and stylishly implemented throughout the bathroom. Whether you opt for a stylish look in matt black or an exceptionally elegant look in polished gold and brushed bronze. Two of the most popular hansgrohe tap ranges featuring the new finishes will be available for market launch in July 2019: Metropol and Talis E. You can get regular updates about additional products on the hansgrohe website and in the newsletter.

hansgrohe's Croma E is a safe, attractive addition to the Croma shower range for the whole family: top selling points include scalding protection on the thermostatic mixer thanks to an innovative water flow system (CoolContact) and a safety stop function, so that no hot water comes out of the shower unexpectedly. The smooth, adjustable shower slide is great for little ones in the shower, but it also benefits everyone. The SoftCube design its with rounded edges gives the shower a contemporary, modern look.

Last but not least: hansgrohe provides a high-quality, aesthetic solution for the shower hose at the bath tub: rather than dangling around idly near the bath tub rim or tiled edge mixer tap, in the hansgrohe sBox bath tub it now stays in the base until needed. The coil-up hose system offers a pull-out length of up to 1.45 metres of shower hose, and returns it safely after use. Perfectly neat and tidy.

hansgrohe is one of the leading companies in the HVAC sector, offering technologically sophisticated products for bathrooms and kitchens. This is once again underlined by its most recent design awards from internationally renowned juries. Find out more about what makes hansgrohe Rainfinity, FinishPlus and Croma E so special.
