Hand and overhead showers

What are the differences between the various spray types in hansgrohe showers?

You can find more information on the different spray types in our guide.

My hand shower is dripping. What can I do?

If the shower does not drain at all or not completely after showering, this process may only take place after a few minutes or hours.
This is due to the surface tension of the water. We would therefore ask you to try out the following tips:

  • If your overhead shower is equipped with a ball joint, you can speed up the emptying process by tilting the overhead shower at an angle after showering.
  • Carefully wiping the jet nubs with a shower cabin squeegee or by hand also speeds up the emptying of the shower head, as the surface tension of the water is interrupted.
  • We also recommend regular descaling of the showers, which can also have a positive effect on draining. You can find instructions on how to properly descale a hand shower in this video.

Only a little water is running from the hand shower. What can I do?

The reason for the low flow rate may be a dirty filter seal. Cleaning is described in this video. The shower itself may also be calcified. You can find instructions for professional descaling in this video.

What is the function of the seal or strainer between the shower hose and hand shower?

The strainer seals, which are supplied with every hand shower, must not be replaced with normal seals. Otherwise, dirt that is filtered out in the strainer will be flushed into the shower head mechanism. This will cause the QuickClean cleaning function to fail or the nozzles to clog. This video shows you how to clean the strainer seal.

The shower hose does not slide optimally in the Secuflex. What is the remedy?

In most cases, the sluggishness is due to contamination in the Secuflex hose. We recommend servicing and cleaning the system. You can find out how to clean your product in the enclosed installation instructions for your product or download them from the online spare parts catalog.

How do I improve the mobility of the hose?

If the hose is still rigid after installation, allow warm water to run through carefully and in a controlled manner.

Are you already familiar with our hansgrohe Isiflex shower hoses? They are equipped with a swivel that prevents the shower hose from twisting and promotes mobility.
