CoolStart: The clever technology for the washplace
This hansgrohe technology can save energy at the wash basin because the faucet always starts with nothing but cold water when in the basic position. Unlike a standard faucet, which immediately consumes a mixture of hot and cold water.
Conserve resources at the touch of a button: EcoStop/EcoStop+
This clever feature on hansgrohe thermostats helps to reduce shower water consumption to max. 6 l/min. Only when you actively press the button does the water come on full blast.
This high-quality ceramic cartridge reduces water consumption at the kitchen sink by up to 50 percent. But if you ever need full power, it’s always at your fingertips.

EcoSmart and EcoSmart+ in the shower
Shower heads and rain showers with EcoSmart consume up to 40 %* less water than standard hansgrohe showers – or a whopping 60 %* less with EcoSmart+. Many EcoSmart shower heads therefore consume just 8 l/min* maximum – or 6 l/min* or less with EcoSmart+. Without sacrificing the indulgence of a hansgrohe shower.
EcoSmart and EcoSmart+ at the washplace
Lavatory faucets with EcoSmart reduce water consumption to max. 5 l/min*, while models with EcoSmart+ can create soothing indulgence from a maximum of just 4 l/min*. This means up to 20 % less water consumption compared to hansgrohe EcoSmart faucets. And best of all: There’s no loss of comfort for you.
EcoSmart in the toilet
With EcoSmart toilets, you can achieve excellent flushing results with up to 4.5 l* water per flush. A quick flush, done by pressing the small flush plate button, can even manage with just 3 l per flush*. (A suitable flush tank is required for this saving.)

CoolStart faucets support sustainable lifestyles because only cold water runs when the handle is in the center position – whereas hot and cold are automatically mixed and energy is immediately consumed with standard faucets in the basic position. The upshot: Starting cool reduces your CO2e emissions and goes easy on your wallet.

Many hansgrohe shower thermostats feature a small button that helps you to save water and energy.

EcoStop and EcoStop+ on the shower thermostat
EcoStop reduces the water flow in the shower to max. 10 l/min*, while EcoStop+ regulates it further so that no more than 6 l/min* runs. But what if you sometimes want more power in the shower? It couldn’t be easier: You can activate a more powerful water flow whenever needed by simply pressing a button on the back of the thermostat’s handle. This is where you can set the required flow rate and deliberately turn it up. *at 3 bar

Many hansgrohe thermostats can accurately control your showering pleasure at the touch of a button using Select technology. The clever button can be used to quickly stop the flow of water, switch between shower heads or change spray mode. It’s both user- and eco-friendly. After all, if you had to mess around adjusting the shower each time, you would waste precious water.

hansgrohe faucets can also save so much valuable drinking water at the sink. The simple and worthwhile equation once again applies here: Less water = less energy = lower costs and CO2e emissions. How can we reduce our carbon footprint when cooking and washing up? Fortunately, we don’t need to do anything specific because the hansgrohe product developers have done the hard work for us.
Sometimes you need lots of water quickly at the sink. When lifting the kitchen faucet’s operating lever, you will feel slight resistance, then a click to signal free-flowing water.
The EcoSelection cartridge in the kitchen faucet
This innovative hansgrohe click cartridge reduces water consumption at your kitchen sink by around half. Do you sometimes want a better flow, for example when quickly filling large pans or containers? All you need to do is go against the slight resistance when you lift the faucet handle. The cartridge will then click and you can have full access to the maximum water flow. The click cartridge is made of high-quality ceramics for smooth movement of the faucet handle.
