hansgrohe named “Brand of the Century”
hansgrohe has once again been included in the who’s who of German brands throughout history. The high-end label was named “Brand of the Century” at the book launch for “Deutsche Standards – Marken des Jahrhunderts 2019” (German Standards – Brands of the Century 2019) in Frankfurt am Main on 14 November 2018.

The Munich-based publisher, publicist and businessman Dr Florian Langenscheidt handed the award to Marc André Palm, Head of Global Brand Marketing at hansgrohe, at Palais Frankfurt. “We are incredibly proud to have been selected for the book project, which is only published once every three years. Having been in business for just under 120 years, hansgrohe is certainly a brand of the century,” said Palm.
The “Deutsche Standards – Marken des Jahrhunderts 2019” (German Standards – Brands of the Century 2019) coffee-table book published by TEMPUS CORPORATE showcases more than 200 popular German brands. One label is selected for each product category.
The “Deutsche Standards – Marken des Jahrhunderts 2019” compendium of brands“‘Brands of the Century’ is an encyclopaedia of major German brands and introduces the icons of the German economy,” said Dr Langenscheidt. “The book shows who has set standards in their field. It is a walk through our everyday mythology because most of us grew up with the brands whose background, history, meaning and aura are described here.”
Dr Florian Langenscheidt has been publishing the book every three years since 2002. In early 2018, he transferred the rights to the Deutsche Standards brand and the “Marken des Jahrhunderts” project to TEMPUS CORPORATE.
