Pontos International Environmental Award

Climate change has led to changed values and increased environmental awareness. The focus is increasingly on environmental protection and in particular conservation of scarce water resources. On the one hand, this also brings with it important new challenges for buildings which go beyond purely economical aspects.
On the other hand, there is the high demand of consumers for convenience. Hardly anyone wants to do without enjoyable showers and baths nowadays. Architects and planners who take into account both aspects by reusing water with the Pontos AquaCycle in a particularly innovative way were therefore invited to apply for the Pontos International Environmental Award.

Assessment criteria

• Degree of innovation of water recycling
• Integration of the Pontos AquaCycle technology and installation in the architecture of the building from the point of view of water ecology
• Convenience and quality of use
• Economic advantages from Pontos AquaCycle

Jury

The properties were inspected and assessed by a specialist jury led by Dipl.-Ing. Anja Schumann, Board Member of the association of service water and rainwater use (fbr e.V.).
