Locations and leisure activities in the region

Schiltach: Hansgrohe's headquarters
Schiltach, a romantic town featuring half-timbered houses, has around 3,950 inhabitants and is located in the upper Kinzig valley in the Black Forest. It has remained virtually unchanged since the Middle Ages. Even today, Schiltach is known as the town of half-timbered houses, raftsmen and tanners. Despite its historical roots, which are visible everywhere, Schiltach is a modern town with large, global commercial operations .
Offenburg: the home of gleaming mixers
Nestled in one of the most scenic regions of the Black Forest, where culture, history and recreational activities all abound. With around 59,000 inhabitants, Offenburg is a genuine feel-good city located between the Rhine and vineyards, in the middle of the wine paradise of Ortenau. Attractive shops, cosy cafés and an atmospheric weekly market invite you to take a stroll through the historic city centre. Offenburg is situated 20 km southeast of Strasbourg (France), at the foot of the Central Black Forest.
Alpirsbach: exhibition stand construction par excellence
In the midst of the northern Black Forest is the idyllic little town of Alpirsbach, with around 6,700 inhabitants. The townscape is dominated by the monastery, which is more than 900 years old. For centuries, excellent beer has been brewed in Alpirsbach using its famous brewing water from the Black Forest - the Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu beer.
