International design ranking: Hansgrohe wins a place in the top 10

Market leader in the sanitation industry moves up to 6th place in the iF ranking

Hansgrohe AG has made it into the top ten companies in the world for design excellence. In the current "company" ranking list of the iF International Forum Design, the Black Forest mixer and shower manufacturer ranks sixth out of almost 2,000 listed companies. This means that the company has once again improved its position in comparison to the previous year, and has significantly extended its lead over the competition. The "good form" ranking list now puts Hansgrohe in the top 10 league together with big brand names such as Apple, Sony and Siemens.

The ranking list is based on all iF awards received from this renowned design committee over the last three years: Therefore the iF "company" ranking is a reflection of a manufacturer's design excellence. Hansgrohe has long been considered a leader in design and innovation in the sanitation industry, consistently winning internationally coveted awards.

Nine awards plus two gold awards

In 2012 no fewer than nine Hansgrohe AG products received an iF design award in the "product design" category, and another one for the "material design" category, and this contributed to the improvement in the current iF ranking. Moreover, the high-calibre judging panel awarded two Hansgrohe products, a basin mixer from the Hansgrohe PuraVida range and the Hansgrohe Focus electronic mixer, with an iF gold award.

According to Richard Grohe, Deputy Chairman of Hansgrohe AG, the top ranking is the result of a company policy where priority is given to design, innovation and quality. "We are very proud to have succeeded in becoming one of the best design companies in the world using this consistent approach, and to now be in the same league as Apple and Sony", said Richard Grohe, "and of course this top 10 position also provides us with extra incentive."
