Starting shot for the Pontos AquaCycle 2500

The new grey water recycling system commenced operation in an apartment building in Filderstadt-Bernhausen

The first system from the new, compact Pontos AquaCycle 2500 generation has commenced operation in an apartment building in Filderstadt-Bernhausen. Manufactured by Pontos, a brand of the Schiltach-based bathroom and sanitation specialists Hansgrohe AG, the systems have a water treatment capacity of 2,000 litres per day. This corresponds to the process water consumption of 30 to 60 people and makes the Pontos AquaCycle 2500 systems particularly suited for use in apartment buildings, residential complexes or small holiday resorts and hotels.

Run-off shower and bath water is cleaned using a patented mechanical-biological procedure without any chemical additives. The process water created complies with the hygiene requirements of the EU Bathing Water Directive and can be used for all uses for which drinking water quality is not required, such as flushing toilets, watering green areas and general cleaning activities.
